NekoVideo Troubleshooting

Desynced audio/video

  • Confirm all nodes run the same Java version.
  • Increase profiles.default.latencyBudgetMs for high-ping regions.
  • Use /nekovideo diag --sync to view drift statistics.

Players see a black screen

  1. Ensure the scene's world is loaded and not blocked by protected regions.
  2. Verify that the asset exists under assets/videos/<name>.mp4.
  3. Confirm that firewall rules allow inbound traffic on the CDN port.

Throughput drops during peak hours

  • Scale horizontally by enabling proxy fan-out (network.proxyPool).
  • Allocate more direct memory via -XX:MaxDirectMemorySize=1G.
  • Move assets/ to SSD or a low-latency object store.

Collect plugins/NekoVideo/logs/latest.log and attach it to support tickets if the issue persists.
